Apply now to volunteer at Finlandia Trophy Helsinki!

The 29th edition of Finlandia Trophy Helsinki will take place at Helsinki Ice Hall on 21–22 November 2025. The event would not be possible without the amazing volunteers whose contribution is truly invaluable. That is why we are once again looking for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to help us create an unforgettable Grand Prix-level competition.

Come and experience the Olympic season buzz behind the scenes! As a volunteer you will be part of an international sporting event and see up close how a world-class competition comes together. There are plenty of roles available – from social media to logistics, from guiding the audience to assisting athletes. Whether this is your first time or you are already experienced, there is a role for you!

Our best volunteers are cheerful, service-minded, and reliable. Most importantly, they want to offer the best possible experience for the audience – even during long competition days. Priority will be given to those who are able to commit for the entire event period, which may include shifts from Thursday to Saturday. Please note that depending on the role, work shifts may begin before the official competition days and end only the day after the event. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. A good command of Finnish is required, and additional language skills are considered an advantage.

Volunteers are not paid, and everyone is responsible for their own accommodation and travel costs. Volunteers with long shifts will receive a hot meal daily. In addition, the volunteer café – provided free of charge by the federation – is open to all volunteers regardless of shift length. Outside their own shifts, volunteers may freely watch the competition on site.

Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, gain valuable experience – and most importantly, to help build the unique competition atmosphere together with others. Welcome to the team!
In your application, you can select up to three roles you are interested in. Priority will be given to applicants who can commit to several shifts during the event. The minimum requirement is two (2) shifts. Shift schedules will be assigned to selected volunteers closer to the event.

*In the left-hand menu, go to Profile > select Events > then, under Events “Choose events to apply for”, choose Finlandia Trophy Helsinki 2025 and click Save.

Please also update, edit, and save your other details! In particular, check the section “Volunteer Positions” and select the teams you would most like to apply for.

Note: You can ignore the “Working Days” section in the menu for now – the working days for Finlandia Trophy 2025 have not yet been published. You may see working days from previous events listed in your profile – this is because you’ve previously applied as a volunteer via the GATE system before 2024.
